Founded in 2018, Zhejiang Rongchang Ocean Engineering Industrial Group Co., Ltd. (formerly Zhejiang Rongchang Shipbuilding and Ship Repair Co., Ltd) is located in Daixi Shipbuilding and Ship Repair Base in Daishan County, a core zone of the Zhoushan Archipelago New Area adjacent to Shanghai, Hangzhou, Ningbo and other major cities. At the forefront of the Yangtze River Delta Economic Region, our company enjoys a superb geographical location with easy access to convenient land and water transportation.
With a registered capital of RMB100 million, our company covers a total area of 306,200 m2 with a coastline of 480 m, a building area of 120,000 m2, and good production sites. We have established a comprehensive array of facilities, including a 30,000-tonnage berth, a 20,000-tonnage berth and a 10,000-tonnage berth, a 3,000-tonnage ship cradle, a 30,000-square-meter block manufacturing site, gantry cranes with tonnages varying from 200T, 100T, 20T, 10T to 5T, a gas station equipped with 50-cubic-meter oxygen storage tanks, 15,000 meters of gas, oxygen and carbon dioxide pipelines, 3,000 square meters of shop floors for block production, and more than 30,000 square meters of shop floors for block assembly and welding, CNC blanking, finishing, piping and painting. The shop floors are equipped with a 100T bridge crane and a number of cranes below 20T. We have also purchased a number of modern shipbuilding equipment such as 150T flatbed trucks, a three-roll symmetrical winder, CNC plasma cutters, 1000T hydraulic presses, plate rolling machines, edge milling machines, grooved wall presses, plate shearing machines, etc., as well as large lifting and transporting equipment such as 55T and 25T truck-mounted cranes ,forklifts and tractor shovels of various tons. These facilities and equipment can meet our shipbuilding demand and allow us an annual capacity of 150,000 DWT.
In addition to a team of senior and intermediate shipbuilding engineers and a professional management team for production, technology and quality, we also have a team of specialized ordinary employees. In building a leading green shipbuilding and ship repair enterprise in China with lean management for quality, we have always taken a people-oriented approach, attaching great importance to employees’ skills training and education on professional ethics. In addition, we keep improving our management, promotes lean production in all respects, and operates the established ISO 9001 quality management system. These have taken our technology, quality and management to the next level.
We have built the following vessels: low-temperature longline vessels for tuna fishing, 2,000 DWT multipurpose cargo ships, 5,000 DWT and 6,490 DWT chemical tankers with stainless steel liners, 5,180 DWT and 11,800 DWT oil tankers, 53-meter car ferries, 119-meter deck carriers, 63-meter tug vessels, and 28-meter catamarans. We can also deliver ocean engineering modules and steel bridge structures. We have repaired the following vessels: engineering vessels, seagoing fishing vessels, offshore fishing vessels, public vessels, bulk carriers, and oil tankers among other vessels and marine facilities.
On July 5, 2021, we were approved by the Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of Zhejiang Province as a designated point for dismantling fishing vessels in Daishan County. At the current stage, we uphold the philosophy of “driving innovation, environmental protection, and sustainable development in shipbuilding, ship repair, and ship dismantling” to keep pace with the times and forge ahead. To further modernize fishing vessels, we will expand our ocean engineering services in the near future so as to contribute with heat and soul to the leapfrog development of modern fisheries in the Zhoushan Archipelago New Area.

Our original canteen could accommodate nearly 1,000 people at the same time. To improve the well being of our employees and shipowners, we have opened a cafeteria with a more comfortable environment as well as diverse and delicious dishes for them to choose from. Employees on duty can eat at the cafeteria free of charge so that they can feel more energized at work.
We provide accommodation for our employees from other places and outsourced workers at our dormitory. To better our services, we have built a guest house for shipowners. All rooms are standard double rooms with complete facilities and full Internet coverage, making shipowners’ life and work much easier.
