The bloody battle on Dayushan IslandThis is a battle that embodies the sad wind as a song and the spirit of singing and crying.On the grey turtle ocean northwest of Daishan island in Zhoushan, there is an island shaped like a big shark. Its name is Dayushan island.On August 25th, 1944, more than 70 people of the coastal defense brigade of the New Fourth Army guerrillas in eastern Zhejiang, China's Anti Japanese War, encountered more than 600 people of the Japanese puppet army on the island, and a fierce battle began immediately. More than 600 Japanese soldiers, with the cooperation of one 105 gunship, two landing craft, five large motor boats, five motor boats equipped with heavy machine guns, and two planes, rushed fiercely towards Dayushan island. The Japanese army is bound to win, and it is bound to catch all the Anti Japanese troops.The coastal defense team has only 76 people, 3 machine guns, more than 50 long and short guns, and 4 grenades and 100 bullets per capita. The Japanese troops are 8 times stronger than me, and their weapons and equipment are 10 times stronger than me. However, in the face of the strong enemy, they did not retreat, and immediately occupied the three commanding heights of daaogang, daqigang and huzhuangtou in three waysDayaushan island is an isolated island, and there is no retreat. Facing the superior Japanese army, we have to fight to the end. Casualties on the three hills increased, and ammunition gradually ran out. But they never gave up their positions. When the bullets were finished, they lifted stones and smashed them. The injured soldiers jumped down the hill with grenades and died with the devils.In this battle, more than 70 warriors fought with 600 Japanese troops for more than 7 hours, killing more than 80 devils. 24 warriors died in the battle, and the rest of the 19 captured wounded soldiers, except Li Jingen, died heroically. There were 34 warriors who either jumped off the cliff and were rescued, or escaped the Japanese army in the cave, or were rescued by the support team in time.This fierce battle is also known as "Langya Mountain on the island". People call it "Langya Mountain in the north and Dayu mountain in the South".The battle of Dayu mountain has written a glorious page for the history of the Anti Japanese war in eastern Zhejiang.Although the visit was short, we received a profound education and spiritual baptism by recalling the extraordinary years soaked with blood and fire!
